Reading a card

A grade compares an app with the rest of the field on one criterion. A means best in the field or level with the best, B good with a clear gap to the leader, C usable but behind. A card explains the reason for each grade in a sentence, so you can decide which criteria matter to you. Someone who only eats at chain restaurants may care more about food coverage than nutrient detail; someone on a tight budget may care most about the free plan.

The criteria and how they are applied are set out on how we compare. Every change to a grade is recorded in the changelog.
